There are a lot of great leaders out there, but have you ever asked yourself what makes a leader stand out from the norm?
According to a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana Business school(UGBS) Dr. Abor, integrity, humility, and courage make a leader stand out from the crowd of mediocrity.
“I think there are a lot of attributes for great leaders. But I think three key attributes stand out for me. Someone with courage, integrity, and humility. I think integrity should be the first in all the attributes so a high sense of integrity, someone with the courage to want to change the status quo and then humility to serve”.
She further said that these attributes are not easy but if one can cloth himself with them they will make the difference.
“It is very difficult to combine courage and humility because the two look like opposing ends but if you can blend humility with courage and you have the integrity I think you will make a difference in this world as a leader”.
