Madam Josephine Nkrumah was born into a nuclear family of six. She had her primary education at Association International School and continued with secondary education at Mfantsepem Girls SHS.
She graduated the University of Ghana, Legon with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Law & French). She was admitted to the Ghana Bar in February 1997. She also holds a Master of Law (LLM) Degree from the IMO International Maritime Law Institute with a specialization in Maritime Law.
Mad. Josephine founded Law Firm, Lumens Veritals Law before joining the NCCE in 2016 as the Deputy Chairman in charge of Finance and Administration.
Currently, Mad. Josephine is the Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education, meanwhile, she serves as a member of the Ministry of Transport’s Advisory Board and also serves on a number of boards of private companies.
Nurtured with discipline, honesty, integrity, hard work and humility these values serve as her life guidelines.
Her vision for Africa is an optimistic one, that Africa will be a brighter continent with innovative youth who will tap into the vast natural resources across the continent.
Madam Josephine has a passion for nation-building and public education. Many describe her as outspoken, affable, and a class act. Her hobbies include talking, reading, cooking and learning new recipes.
