Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann the quiz mistress of the Ghana National Science & Mathematics Quiz has defined what leadership is on the Daakye Kanea video podcast.
According to her, ‘A leader is an individual who has a vision, can see beyond the present and is able to communicate his vision with others so that others also get inspired to want to follow in trying to achieve this vision’ she explained.
She also stated that “vision” and “capabilities of communication and inspiring others to follow to achieve that vision” are qualities every leader must possess.
Based on these qualities, she personally defines leadership “as the process by which individuals or a visionary is able to get others to understand and then lead others along with him\her or them in other to achieve a vision/goal”.
