The award-winning CEO of AKOFIS Group, Dr Francis O. Blay has disclosed that, two things that set people apart in the crowd of mediocrity are communication and confidence.
He made this statement on his appearance as a guest on Daakye Kanea Leadership Podcast to inspire and share lessons from his leadership experiences. He said “Its two things. I tell people in my sphere of influence that there are two things that can set you apart, it is communication and confidence”.
He continued by saying that he did not have anyone to mentor him on confidence growing up. But now he is greatly confident to a level that makes people feel is full of himself.
“And on the confidence side, I wish someone had actually mentored me on that earlier because it sets people apart. So even for this interview I have had to spend a moment to psych myself, be able to articulate myself in this interview and having a moment to reflect and to make sure my confidence is up and you can communicate…those are two things I have had to work on” he explained.
