Teni Agana the Managing Director of Loozeele Initiative in a leadership interview on Daakye Kanea Leadersship Podcast has disclosed her defining moment as a young leader.
Speaking on the show , the former Kayoyoo detailed that, the state she found her peers in on her return to her hometown in the Northern Region of Ghana was a key reason that made her set up ‘Loozoeele Initiative’
Detailing it out she said , “in my third year in Ashesi I came back home and realised that some of my peers I worked with as kayayoo had dropped out of school and had babies, I knew that if nothing is done they will still be kayayoo in the next 10 years”
In an effort to support these girls to become better, Teni formed the ‘Lozeeele Intitiative’ to train Kayayoos in vocational skills so they can financially support their dreams with proceeds from the goods they produce.
According to Teni, after completing Senior High School she came to Accra with her peers to work as a Kayayoo at age 16. Fortunately she ended up founding her lost dad and becoming a student of Ashesi University.
Teni is currently working in of Ashesi University, her alma mater and is the Managing Director of Loozeele Initiative.
