Leadership Is About Putting Yourself Out There To Inspire Others- Professor Amponsah-Tawiah

PROF TAWIAH INSPIRES ON DAAKYE KANEA

Speaking on the issue of leadership with F5 Digital Media, Professor Amponsah-Tawiah  has added to the definition of leadership by sharing his personal definition of it. He opined that leadership is about you putting yourself out there to inspire others.

‘when I talk about leadership, it is about you putting yourself out there to inspire others and get others to have that self-confidence and self-worth to be able to think through things on a broader scale not necessarily to where we find people lording it over others’ he said.

In his insightful contributions on the ‘Daakye Kanea Leadership Podcast’, he also emphasized that a person’s definition of issues and concept informs his actions.

‘Your definition defines your action. The way you define a construct or a concept determines how you relate and how you even act to that particular concept. So, for me, one definition of leadership that has stayed with me he who thinks he is leading but does not have followers is just picking a stroll’ he explained.

He added that a leader must have followers who will buy into his vision whom he can influence and inspire them to aspire.
